BOUNDARIES

“The Boundaries class helped me in a life altering way. I learned healthy boundaries know no limits. The first step is Development of self-care. Without putting on the oxygen mask first, you won’t be able to help anyone. It is acceptable to care for yourself so that you can be all that you were created for.”~ Class Participant

Discover when to say 'yes' and how to say 'no' to take control of your life in accordance with God’s design for living. Explore how healthy boundaries give us freedom to make choices and to love, and learn how to set boundaries and live in right relationship with ourselves, others and God.

Boundaries Syllabus

God’s plan for us does not include being a door mat nor a bull in a China shop. Love, freedom, control and responsibility are equally important in God’s design for us, and healthy boundaries are the “how to” of living according to that design. Join us as we explore why healthy boundaries gives us freedom to make choices and to love. Learn how to set boundaries and live in right relationship with ourselves and our loved ones, our friends and community, and God. Through video presentations, listening, discussion, and self-reflection, we will learn the power of self-control and respect for others, joyfully own our responsibilities and stop blaming others, and mean it when we say yes or no.

Note:  some independent work is necessary outside of class to fully engage with this process.
