- Gifts of Stock or Appreciated Assets: Donating appreciated stock may allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while still claiming a charitable deduction for the full fair market value.
- IRA Charitable Gifts: If you’re age 70.5 or older, you may be required to take a distribution from your IRA.
