When we think about serving our neighbors, it’s easy to picture someone across town or a family we’ve never met. But sometimes, the neighbor in need is much closer than we realize. Through the partnerships God has built across our community, Love INC of Littleton is continually reminded that our reach often begins right next door — and extends farther than we can see. One recent story beautifully illustrates this truth.
As one of Love INC’s founding church partners in the Furnishing Hope ministry, South Sub Church has long supported Love INC in helping transform empty spaces into welcoming homes for neighbors in need.
Recently, the church reached out with a unique request. A missionary family they support had returned to the United States and needed furniture to make their apartment livable as they settled into this new season of ministry.
Through Furnishing Hope, Love INC was able to provide furniture this dear family needed. Then South Sub Church volunteers picked up and delivered the pieces to the family in CO Springs. A unique situation that became another example of the Body of Christ working together—one ministry providing resources, another offering willing hands, and together creating a place a family could truly call home.

It’s a reminder that the GAP Ministries at Love INC aren’t only about meeting practical needs. They are about equipping churches and Christians to care for people in meaningful ways. Every donated dresser, kitchen table, sofa, or nightstand represents more than furniture—it represents dignity, hospitality, and the love of Christ made tangible.
Stories like this also remind us that ministry sometimes reaches beyond what we might expect. Because of generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and faithful church partners, God’s provision continues to flow in ways we could never orchestrate on our own.
Scripture reminds us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7). Every day, Love INC has the privilege of witnessing this truth. We don’t always know where a donated couch will end up or whose life will be touched by a volunteer’s willingness to serve. But God does. He faithfully weaves together churches, ministries, volunteers, and neighbors into stories of His provision and love.
Thank you to our Furnishing Hope volunteers, South Sub Church, and every donor who has given furniture that becomes part of someone else’s new beginning. Together, you are helping transform houses into homes and demonstrating the love of Christ to neighbors—sometimes across the community, and sometimes right next door.
