The Sow the Seed Dinner had over 120 volunteers and guests who have been sharing Christ’s love during the past year through various ministries. Commenting that she felt at home, Lois Tupyi, a national speaker for Love INC, gave a motivational message charging the volunteers to continue the good work being done here by Love INC. Kathryn Roy, Executive Director, told how “the church” came together when Love INC’s neighbors had to suddenly evacuate their Windemere apartment homes because of fire last November and needed immediate assistance. Love INC stepped up, finding and organizing volunteers from various churches who helped them navigate the process of insurance and relocating. After that, Kathryn told about the opportunity that came to purchase new offices for Love INC, providing more meeting and storage space. An inspiring video of the stories of successes from the past year was shone. The Centennial Covenant Church was a perfect venue and their musicians were excellent as was the singer (Kris Thulson!); the food by Canon Catering was tasty. It was very moving to see how “The Church” has been coming together through Love INC to share Christ’s love.
The next day, the Redemptive Compassion Workshop led by Lois was also a stimulating eye-opener. Some 50 people came to learn how they could help people not just with handouts but hand-ups. An inspiring weekend all around!
